Tour Itinerary

DAY 1: ARRIVAL @ PARO-THIMPHU (By Car, approx. 1.30 Hrs)
Welcome to Bhutan. Upon arrival, be greeted by your local guide and escorted to the capital Thimphu, passing by Tamchog Lhakhang Iron Bridge En- Route. Hotel check-in, then head for Buddha Dordenma Statue and Takin Sanctuary, where you’ll see Bhutan’s unique national Animal Takin. Continue to meet the nuns at Zilukha Nunnery, And then to Dechen Phodrang Monastery. Later to Bhut an Post Office Headquarters where you can make stamps with your own photos (USD 2-3 stamps, At your expense). Later visit Thimphu Dzong (Tashichho Dzong), the largest religious building In Thimphu as well as the central administrative center (open after 5 pm, Monday to Friday).

DAY 2THIMPHU-PUNAKHA (2.1/3hrs drive)
On your way to Punakha, stop at Dochula Pass to have a coffee break and admire the Grand 108 stupas. If in good weather, take in the enchanting views of Mt. Himalaya. Proceed to Chime Lhakhang , a temple dedicated to the Devine Madman and a sacred Place where people pray for children. Next embrace the highlight – Punakha Dzong a very beautiful Bhutanese architecture armed by the Pho Chu and Mo Chu rivers, with Rich Buddhist collections. You will also visit Suspension Bridge nearby (the longest Bridge in Bhutan).

DAY 3: PUNAKHA-GASA (3hrs drive)
Morning drive towards Gasa visit Gasa dzong and evening, we will go to visit Gasa hot spring which is very popular hot springin Bhutan, the different temperature ponds are traditionally believed to help with arthritis, ulcers, skin diseases and joint paint etc.

DAY 4GASA-TAKSIMAKHA-LAYA
This morning, we going to laya through small pick-up private truck till Taksimakha Bhutan Army check point for 2hrs drive and later another 2hrs walk to Laya.

DAY 5: LAYA FESTIVAL WITH SIGHSEEING.
Whole day you are enjoying the laya festival and exploring the cluster of 110 stone and wood houses perched on a high ridge. Meet the semi-nomadic layap people and admire their distinctive culture will take the day trips to nearby glacier lakes and visit yak harder camps or arrange a yak rid etc.Overnight @ laya

DAY 6WHOLE DAY WITNESSING THE LAYA FESTIVAL.
Visitor can witness indigenous rituals, Auley (Epic poetry and song recitation) and local handicraft. Animal parades and competition of land animals such as yaks, horses and mastiff dogs etc, the events are regularly attended by the king and the Bhutanese Royal family, who often mingle directly with locals and internal guests. Overnight@ Laya

DAY 7: LAYA-GASA-THIMPHU
Today morning, we are going back to Thimphu another 2hrs walk till Taksimakha Army camp after that, we are taking small pickup private truck till Gasa then to Thimphu by our regular car.

DAY 8Departure 
Say goodbye to Bhutan today. After breakfast we will escort you to the airport for your departure
