Tour Itinerary

Day 01: Bangkok/Paro (1hrs 30 min drive)
Fly with Druk Air/Bhutan airline from Bangkok to Paro very early in the morning. Welcome to Bhutan. Upon arrival, be greeted by your local guide and escorted to the capital Thimphu, passing by Tamchog Lhakang Iron Bridge en route. Hotel check-in, then head for Buddha Dordenma Statue
Continue to meet the nuns at Zilukha Nunnery, before going to Bhutan Post
Office Headquarters, where you can make stamps with your own photos (USD 2-3 evening stamps, at your expense). Later visit Thimphu Dzong
(Trashichho Dzong), The largest religious building in Thimphu is also the central administrative centre (open after 5 pm, Monday to Friday). Overnight: 3-star hotel.

Day 02: Thimphu – Punakha (2hrs 30min drive)
Morning, transfer to Punakha Valley. Afternoon, sightseeing in and around Punakha and Wangdue Towns, including visits to the Dzongs (Fortress).
Punakha was the old capital of Bhutan, and it is still the winter residence of the Central Monastic Body. Punakha Dzong is the most Magnificent and Largest Dzong in Bhutan, and is located beautifully between the two largest rivers of Bhutan. After lunch, hike to Chime Lhakhang fertility temple for 20-30 mins and explore around Chime Lhakhang village and in the evening to the hotel. Overnight at the 3 hotel in Punakha.

Day 03: Punakha – Phobjikha (2hrs 30min drive)
Drive towards Phobjikha Valley and visit Gangtey monastery, later do a nature Phobjikha nature hike for 1-2 hours, then visit the crane information centre.
And then have lunch later, explore the area around Phobjikha and have free time. Overnight at the hotel Dewachen or Gakhil.

Day 04: Back to Thimphu – Paro following the same route.
Visit -Takin Sanctuary, where you’ll see Bhutan’s unique national animal, Takin, then visit Weekend market, Thimphu sabji baazar and explore around town by yourself, shopping, etc. Later to Paro, if time permits, visit the oldest temple, Kyichu Lhakhang, Paro dzong, etc. Overnight: 3-star hotel.

Day 05: Excursion to Taktshang Monastery
This morning, hike to visit Taktsang at 3000m from sea level – (Tiger’s Nest- built in 1691 by Second Buddha, Padma Sambhava). It is said that Padma
Sambava flew on Tigress to the cliff where the temple is located, be amazed by the view of this Sacred temple hanging on the rocky cliff, and take in the beauty of Paro valley. After that, move to the ruins of Drukgyel Dzong, built to
commemorate Bhutan’s victory over. The Tibetan invaders. If in good weather, you’ll see a great distant view of Mt. Jhomolhari. Free time in Paro town, and later visit a farmhouse, where you can chat with local people, see how they live and taste some homemade wine. In the evening, there will Bhutanese culture show, so kindly try wearing our national dress (Gho for men and Kira
for women). Overnight at the hotel.

Day 06: Paro/Bangkok
After breakfast, Transfer to Paro Airport, complete your departure formalities and fly with Drukair or Bhutan airline to BKK
